There are 858 Nos. of books in the library of Dr. Bhupen Hazarika Regional Government Film and Television Institute comprising of English, Hindi, Bengali & Assamese languages in various subjects like Audiograpgy & Sound Engineering, Film & Video Editing, Motion Picture Photography, Video & Still Photography, Acting, Theatre, Film direction, Music, light & literature etc. Apart from that DBHRGFTI library has 362 Nos. of films in DVD and CD format covering a wide range of World Classics, Indian Classics, Hollywood & Bollywood Commercials, Bengali, Assamese, Iranian, Korean, Japanese, Latin American and other films. DBHRGFTI also provides E-Library facilities to its students in the library premises.

Bonafide students of the institute and faculty members are entitled to use the   books and other audio-visual teaching aids as per the specified rules of the library of DBHRGFTI. Outsiders are allowed to read books, journals or news papers inside the library only with due permission of the Librarian in special cases like research or film oriented matters.
