Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) conducts the examination. There are total 6 Semesters in the diploma courses. A student should have minimum 80% of class attendance to be eligible to seat in the semester examinations. A student is allowed only three chances to clear a back semester including his/her first regular attempt. If he/she fails to do so the student is declared as NOT FIT FOR TECHNICAL EDUCATION and not allowed to continue his/ her studies in the institute. (For details pdf attachments of ‘Examination Rules’ & ‘Resolution of Examination Committee’ can be seen) Process of Evaluation: Though acting and other technical aspects related to film making like sound designing, cinematography & editing are performing and audio-visual art forms but in order to have a sound theoretical, practical & aesthetical knowledge of the subjects under each curriculum DBHRGFTI emphasizes more on the academic part of it and conducts timely semester examinations in every six months on both theory and practical aspects to evaluate the growth & development of the students.
